Timeline for PFAS restriction evaluation announced
Our committees for Risk Assessment and for Socio-Economic Analysis aim to complete their scientific evaluation of the proposed EU-wide restriction on per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) by the end of 2026.

National authorities' news on PFAS restriction proposal update
The national authorities of Denmark, Germany, the Netherlands, Norway and Sweden announced the publication of their updated PFAS restriction proposal on 25 August 2025. The news releases, issued in each country's national language, are available on the respective authorities' websites:
